Here are some examples of audience research, the images of people in crowds shows that The White Stripes have a fan base and the tweeter feed shows again that they have a fan base that want to keep up to date with what the band are doing and so they can get information on tour dates and merchandise etc.
Here is some audience research that I conducted on facebook, I asked "If you listen
to The White Stripes, how often would you listen to their music?" And
gave them several choices, some where added by some people later and
they gave me an range of different answers. Some people didn't listen to
them at all and some listened to them to a small degree, others like
myself listen to them quite regularly, This could show that there music
perhaps isn't as popular as it was when it first came out or I don't
know many die hard White Strips fans.
Then I asked another question
on Facebook asking, "How do you feel about the Indie Rock genre as a
whole?" when I asked this question I got more answers then I did for
perhaps the last question
